Welcome to PodQuest! This is our weekly flagship show, since 2014, where you can join us for conversation about video games, movies, comics, television, and so much more. We discuss the big news stories when they happen, and focus on having conversations about the things we love (and not love). PodQuest releases weekly on Thursdays (Unless otherwise announced, and you can be part of the show by joining us over on Patreon where you’ll get to suggest topics and vote on things we do on the show, among other fun perks.

PodQuest 405 – Mega Man Ranking, Malenia is Hard, and Lucas Film is Lost

This week on PodQuest, Walnut finished his mainline Mega Man playthrough and does a loose ranking of the games. Then we talk a bit about how difficult Malenia is in Elden Ring, and that Lucas Film seems to be lost as to what works and doesn’t work in their Star Wars films. We also talk a bit about the possibility of Ubisofts long in development Skull and Bones finally releasing, how adults spend time, and Chris watched both horror film Hereditary and the anime The Detective is Already Dead.

PodQuest 404 – Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Metal Lords, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

On this week’s episode of PodQuest we run through some of the games shown at the May 2022 Nintendo Indie World Showcase, then we have our latest book club discussion about the Netflix movie Metal Lords, and wrap things up with a discussion on the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Check timestamps for spoilers!). Droo also tells us a bit about the AWE show he went to last week, and Walnut spends time trying to catch a rogue squirrel in his house, while it mocks him. It’s straight out of a Tom and Jerry cartoon.

PodQuest 403 – Oaken, Square Enix Studio Sales, and Arrowverse Cancellations

This week on PodQuest Richie tells us about his time with the new deck building roguelike Oaken, then we talk about Square Enix selling a bunch of its western studios to Embracer Group, and follow that up with a chat about the cancelation of the Arrowverse shows Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. Then Chris wraps things up talking about his impressions of the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant.

PodQuest 402 – Twitch Streaming, Nightwing, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This week is a pretty loose episode of PodQuest. We start out talking about game scores, Hades, and such things before getting into a discussion on Twitch streaming and plugging Richie’s Fancy Friday stream this Friday! Then we chat a bit about The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past turning 30, Chris gushes a bit over Nightwing and Tom Taylors writing, and then we have our book club discussion on the movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991).

PodQuest 401 – Thor Trailer, Terraformers, and Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers

We’re back for our 401st episode of PodQuest! This week we talk about the Thor Love and Thunder trailer, Walnut checked out the new PC game Terraformers, and Chris played some Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers. We also spend some time discussing twitch goals and stream ads, Chris watched The Witcher Season 2, and Walnut is ready to be done with Elden Ring.

PodQuest 400 – Fan Expo Philly, Ip Man, and Kingdom Hearts IV

It’s the 400th episode of PodQuest! This week Chris talks about his time at Fan Expo Philadelphia, we have a discussion about this week’s book club movie Ip Man, and Kingdom Hearts IV was revealed as a real thing. Walnut also talks about seeing Sonic 2 and playing Return to Dark Tower while Chris watched Netflix’s The Bubble and played some Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. Plus Droo talks a bit about his trip to San Diego and we debate Mega Man games.

PodQuest 399 – E3 Cancelled, Moon Knight, and Weird West

On this week’s PodQuest we talk a bit about E3 2022 being cancelled, and if we think it will really be back, then we get Walnut’s thoughts on the first episode of Moon Knight, Chris talks a bit about Weird West, and we also chat a little about Death on the Nile, Sea of Thieves, WB/DC investigating Ezra Miller’s behavior, and some interesting April Fool’s jokes we saw this year.

PodQuest 398 – Playstation Plus Changes, Nobody Saves the World, and Moon Knight

It’s PodQuest time again! This week we start the show talking about the upcoming changes to Playstation Plus and how we feel about it. Then we follow that up with some of Walnuts opinions on Back 4 Blood, Chris played some of Nobody Saves the World, we have some spoiler free thoughts on the first episode of the new Disney Plus Marvel series Moon Knight, and round things out with some talk about Anime, including Black Clover, Attack on Titan, and One Piece.

PodQuest 397 – Jujutsu Kiasen 0, Blade Runner, and Tunic

It’s time for another episode of PodQuest! This week Chris gives his impressions on Jujutsu Kiasen 0 which recently hit US theaters, the group discusses this weeks’ Book Club topic Blade Runner: The Final Cut, and Chris talks a bit about Tunic. We also talk about narrative podcasts, including Archive 81 which is now a Netflix series, and Walnut talks a bit about his time with Deep Rock Galactic.

PodQuest 396 – The Batman, Sony State of Play, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

This week on PodQuest we open up with Chris’ thoughts on The Batman before transitioning to Walnut talking about some updates coming to Monster Hunter Rise, and we recap the Sony State of Play from last week. Walnut also finished up Ori and the Will of the Wisps which ends up becoming a brief talk about Elden Ring, before we wrap things up with more of Chris’ thoughts, this time on Marvel’s Guardian’s on the Galaxy which recently hit Xbox Games Pass.
