T.W.I.G. 1/26/2014
We’re back to our regularly scheduled date of Sunday, sorry for the missed week but things have been a little busy for me recently, but I should be back on track on getting these up at 11 A.M. on Sundays from now on! (Feel free to yell at me on our Facebook page or in Twitter if I don’t). Also I’d like to thank everyone who has gotten us to 300+ likes on Facebook. If you haven’t seen our post we put up we have some free games for Steam and Origin available for people who share our post that we hit 300 likes. There’s 12 games in all available (they are listed in the comments of that post) and only 3 people have shared it so there’s at least 9 more games available to be won! So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go share that post and try and help us get more likes!
The News:
- 10 months after it’s release, EA has announced that they will be patching in offline play to SimCity. This comes after many times saying that the game could not possibly work offline. Will this change help the perception of this version of SimCity? Probably not, but it’s interesting to see that they were willing to abandon such a key feature (at least in their eyes) to maybe help the game.
- Call of Duty: Ghosts will be receiving it’s first set of DLC on January 28th. The DLC pack includes 4 new maps, 1 new dual Sniper/Assault Rifle, and a new episode for the Extinction mode. One map, named Fog, will include the ability to play as Michael Myers, the villain in the Halloween movies. While this may seem strange it is apparently a nod back to a game mode that organically sprung up in prior games where one player would be designated as Mike Myers and all other players must run and hide. They cannot shoot the Myers and only the last person left may try and fight back. It’s pretty cool that IW would recognize this and actually put it into the game.
The new releases:
- Broken Age: Act 1 (1/28) – PC
- Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (1/28) – 360, PS3, Vita
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Editon (1/28) – PS4, XB1 [Note, this may be out in some stores if not all already but 1/28 is still the listed release date]
That’s all for this week, please keep checking back for more news here on One-Quest!
