T.W.I.G. 11/2/2014
Apologies again for missing the T.W.I.G. last weekend was busy with us at SJ Geekfest Fall and then my wedding anniversary! But we’re back after some time away again, hopefully I can keep on track with this from now on!
The News:
- Resogun is coming to PSVita. Climax Studios who handled the PS4 and Vita ports of Housemarque’s Dead Nation will be handling the port.
- Nordic Games has purchased the IP for de Blob from the now defunct THQ. Nordic had previously acquired most of the THQ library including Red Faction and Darksiders.
- After years in development hell, Prey 2 has been officially canceled.
- Assassin’s Creed Unity may have some sections of the game taking place during World War II. In a trailer released this week called the “Time Anomaly Trailer” you see a character in what looks like the classic assassin’s gear firing machine guns from a PT boat at Nazi planes.
- Bungie has announced some details of the 1st expansion to Destiny. The level cap will raise from 30 to 32, and there will be a handful of new story missions, a new strike, a new raid, new guns, and 3 new Crucible maps. It will release on Dec. 9th for $20, or as part of the expansion pass paired with the 2nd expansion for $35.
- Star Wars Battlefront will be coming in time for Episode VII, holiday of 2015. Battlefield 5 will be coming in the holiday season of 2016.
- Valkyria Chronicles (a personal favorite PS3 game of mine) will be coming to PC. It will release on November 11th, for $19.99
The new releases:
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (11/4) – 360, PC, PS3, PS4, XB1
- Rocksmith 2014 Edition (11/4) – PS4, XB1
- The Binding of Issac: Rebirth (11/4) – PC, PS4, Vita
