‘Rasslin Report #2

Sorry for missing the week there, time kind of got away from me. But in any case the ‘Rasslin Report is back fora second edition and there’s been a decent amount of news in the last few weeks to talk about.

• The biggest news is that Daniel Bryan has been stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. His recovery from neck surgery has not progressed as well as the doctors have hoped and he will not be cleared to wrestle before the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. So the company made the decision to strip him of the title and instead of having a ladder match for a future title match at any time and now the main event will be a WWE World Heavyweight Championship ladder match.
• As of this time 4 of the 7 entrants for the ladder match have been decided. Right now it is Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Cesaro. The other 3 spots will be determined in qualifying matches in the coming weeks.
• There are rumors of still doing the “traditional” Money In The Bank ladder match at the upcoming PPV which would likely be filled out by the up-an-comers on the roster who might be getting a push sometime in the next year.
• The other really big news is that Seth Rollins has turned his back on The Shield and joined Evolution. The night after the Payback PPV Batista “quit” WWE after not being given a one-on-one match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This looked to be the end of Evolution but at the end of that night’s RAW The Shield called out Randy Orton and HHH which they obliged. HHH had his trademark sledgehammer in hand but so Rollins went and grabbed chairs. Rollins then proceeded to attack Reigns and Ambrose and left with Orton and HHH.
• Over in NXT, Charlotte defeated Natalya to win the NXT Women’s Title. Adrian Neville retained the NXT Championship over Tyson Kidd. Tyler Breeze defeated Sami Zayn to become the #1 contender for the NXT Title.
