Friday Five – Favorite Space Ships
Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week we help you get to know our writers with the assistance of a top 5 list! This weeks category is: Favorite Space Ships!
Who hasn’t dreamed of flying through the stars? The answer better not be anyone reading this! Space is too majestic to not want to explore. It’s the final frontier! There are plenty of games, movies, shows, and books that help us feel like we’re there. They may not always be accurate, but the’re what we dram about. This is our tribute to our favorite space traveling ships.
Chris
- T.A.R.D.I.S. – Doctor Who
- Swordfish II – Cowboy Bebop
- Serenity – Firefly/Serenity
- Zonama Sekot – Star Wars
- Millenium Falcon – Star Wars
Eric
- Aphelion – Ratchet and Clank: Future – Ratchet found this awesome Lombax ship on Fastoon in Tools of Destruction. She’s sentient and pretty snarky. Since her introduction she’s become one of the staples of the series.
- Normandy Sr2 – Mass Effect – I loved wandering around the Normandy in ME and ME2. The ship always felt like a home to the characters, and it looked bad ass as well.
- Ragnarok – Final Fantasy VIII – The player primarily controls the ship on earth, or wherever the game takes place, but it is an abandoned space ship. Other than that, I just thought it looked cool.
- Slave I – Star Wars – I always thought Boba Fett was the coolest, mostly because of the jet pack. He also had a really cool looking ship.
- USG Ishimura – Dead Space – Ok, this ship is more creepy than a favorite, but it was also awesome to explore. If you’re into survival horror then Dead Space (just the first one) is a game you really need to check out.
