Deadpool gets his own game!

If you don’t know who Deadpool is then you’ve probably gotten lost on the internet with no way of finding your way back to your intended destination. If you only know Deadpool to be the sword snikt-ing, eye laser blasting, mouthless “Weapon Eleven” then you need to go read a couple comic books!

Deadpool is a wisecracking, schizophrenic mercenary who consistently breaks the fourth wall because he thinks his entire life exists within a comic book. On top of that he’s fast, agile, an expert swordsman and marksman, has a healing factor similar to Wolverine, and is covered in disgusting scars, which is why he wears a full mask. Deadpool has been bringing hilarious, and often nonsensical, inner dialogue to comics since the early 90’s and has only been featured in a handful of Marvel’s expanded entertainment offerings, such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance and MUA2, Hulk vs. Wolverine, and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The latter 2 share the same voice actor, Mr. Nolan North, who is also providing the voice work for the upcoming Deadpool game!

We have a brief trailer that stars Deadpool primarily talking about the upcoming game. We do see some combat, and some supporting cast members, but it’s hard to tell what is included in the gameplay and who the other characters are. It is, however, hilarious! Deadpool is being developed by High Moon Studios, the guys behind Transformers: War for Cybertron and the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. I’m confident in their ability to craft a fun game. However, Activision. Let’s hope they allow High Moon Studios to focus on their game before forcing them to get to work on Deadpool 2, 3, 15, the PSP, VITA, DS, 3DS, and android/iOS versions. If we could only be so lucky…
